Announcing Dan Garrett at Remedy Legal

We're excited to share we've brought on Dan Garrett as an investor and advisor to Remedy.

Dan is among the most seasoned founders in consumer legaltech; a product thinker, builder, and storyteller. As founder and CEO of Farewill, he built the market leading product for wills and probate. He's now responsible for 1 in 10 wills written across the UK, and for pledging over £1.3b for charities. Farewill brought simplicity, meaning, and technology to an archaic industry. Their 4.9 rating on TrustPilot (with no fewer than 20,000 reviews) shows that the public agrees.

What's stayed with us beyond Farewill's product achievements is their voice. Death isn't a light topic, yet Farewill built something strikingly human and empathetic. They understood what people actually needed, and spoke to them on those terms. That capacity to hold warmth and respect through complex legal processes is rare. It's what we're building toward at Remedy.

The legal system is incredibly intimidating. For someone coming to it for the the first time, often in distress, it's enough to put you off - even if you're in the right! Disputes are expensive, terrifying, and often won by might rather than justice. In Miles and Michael, I knew right away that I'd met two people absolutely dedicated to levelling the playing field - and with the skills, ambition, and technology to do it.
