In this Act, except where the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings respectively, that is to say—
Any reference in this Act to the seal of the FCA is a reference to the seal provided for in regulations made under section 109(1)(b) of the Friendly Societies Act 1974 (and not to the FCA's common seal), and any reference to a document sealed by the Authority is a reference to a document sealed with that seal.
