General Rate Act 1967
- Section 52: Temporary power to reduce rateable value of dwellinghouses, etc.
- Section 54: Uniform discount in respect of rates on all hereditaments.

Part III: Liability, valuation, reliefs, etc.

A rating authority shall have power to reduce or remit the payment of any rate on account of the poverty of any person liable to pay it.
