Part IV: Registration of Rents Under Regulated Tenancies

74(1)

The Secretary of State may make regulations—

(a) prescribing the form of any notice, application, register or other document to be given, made or used in pursuance of this Part of this Act;

(b) regulating the procedure to be followed

(i) by rent officers under this Act; and

(ii) by rent assessment committees whether under this Act or otherwise; and

(c) prescribing anything required or authorised to be prescribed by this Part of this Act.

74(2)

Regulations under subsection (1)(b) above may contain provisions modifying the following provisions of this Act:—

(a) Section 67, . . . or 72;

(b) Part I . . . of Schedule 11;

(c) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

but no regulations containing such provisions shall have effect unless approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

74(3)

Regulations made under this section shall be made by statutory instrument which, except in a case falling within subsection (2) above, shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
