Part VII: General and Supplemental

This Act applies to Northern Ireland as provided by—

section 4(5);
section 5(5);
section 7(3);
section 13(10);
section 74(4);
section 93(4);
section 95(7);
section 97(5);
section 118(7);
section 120(5);
section 133(3); and
Schedules 9, 10 and 11, so far as they relate to provisions which apply to Northern Ireland.

In the application of this Act to Northern Ireland as provided by the provisions mentioned in subsection (1)—

any reference to—
"the Minister" shall be construed as a reference to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and
"the Ministers" shall be construed as a reference to the Secretary of State for the Home Department, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, acting jointly; and
any reference to a council shall be construed as, and any reference to a food and drugs authority shall be construed as including, a reference to a district council.

In the following provisions "Northern Ireland enactment" means any enactment for the time being in force in Northern Ireland—

section 4(4);
section 74(4);
section 95(7);
section 118(7); and
section 133(3).
