Section 6: Knowingly overstaying limited leave.

After subsection (1) of section 24 of the principal Act (illegal entry and similar offences) there shall be inserted—

In subsection (3) of that section (extension of time limit for prosecutions) for the words "subsection (1)(a), (b)(i) and (c)" there shall be substituted the words ." subsection (1)(a) and (c) "

These amendments do not apply in relation to a person whose leave has expired before the coming into force of this section.
