Part I: Council Tax: England and Wales — Chapter II: Valuation Lists

The Commissioners of Inland Revenue shall appoint a listing officer for each billing authority.

The remuneration of, and any expenses incurred by, listing officers in carrying out their functions (including the remuneration and expenses of persons, whether or not in the service of the Crown, to assist them) shall be paid out of money provided by Parliament.

Any reference in this Chapter to a listing officer's or the Commissioners' functions is a reference to the functions imposed or conferred on him or them by or under this Chapter.
