Section 22: Short title, commencement and extent.

This Act may be cited as the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

This Act shall come into force in accordance with provision made by the Secretary of State by order made by statutory instrument.

An order under subsection (2) may—

contain such savings or transitional provisions as the Secretary of State thinks fit;
make different provision for different purposes.

This Act extends to England and Wales only.
