Section 8: Procedure on applications to the Commission for leave to appeal etc.

The Lord Chancellor may make rules regulating, and prescribing the procedure to be followed on, applications to the Special Immigration Appeals Commission for leave to appeal under section 7 above or for the grant of a certificate under section 7B.

Rules under this section may include provision enabling an application ... to be heard by a single member of the Commission.

The power to make rules under this section shall be exercisable by statutory instrument.

No rules shall be made under this section unless a draft of them has been laid before and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament.
