This section does not prevent a person being removed to, or being required to leave to go to, a State falling within subsection (2B).
A State falls within this subsection if—
For the purposes of this section—
In this section, "Convention rights" means the rights identified as Convention rights by section 1 of the Human Rights Act 1998 (whether or not in relation to a State that is a party to the Convention); and "the Refugee Convention" means the Convention relating to the Status of Refugees done at Geneva on 28th July 1951 and its Protocol.
Nothing in this section shall prevent any of the following while a claim for asylum is pending—
Section 15 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (c. 33) (protection from removal or deportation) shall cease to have effect.
