This section applies if a person has been arrested under an extradition arrest power at a place other than a police station.
A constable may search the person if he has reasonable grounds for believing that the person may present a danger to himself or others.
A constable may search the person if he has reasonable grounds for believing that the person may have concealed on him anything—

A constable searching a person in exercise of the power conferred by subsection (2) may seize and retain anything he finds, if he has reasonable grounds for believing that the person searched might use it to cause physical injury to himself or to any other person.

An offence includes an offence committed outside the United Kingdom.
Nothing in this section affects the power conferred by section 43 of the Terrorism Act 2000 (c. 11).
