Section 289: Prize gaming permits

Part 13: Prize Gaming

A person does not commit an offence under section 33 or 37 by providing facilities for prize gaming if—

the gaming satisfies the conditions specified in section 293, and
the facilities are provided in accordance with a prize gaming permit.

A prize gaming permit is a permit issued by a licensing authority authorising a person to provide facilities for gaming with prizes on specified premises.

Schedule 14 makes further provision about prize gaming permits.
