- Section 131: No set-off where insolvency procedure has been applied
- Section 133: Set-off etc where right to be paid a sum has been transferred

Part 7: Administration — Chapter 5: Payment and enforcement

Section 81 of VATA 1994 (set-off of credits etc) is amended as follows.

For subsection (4C) substitute—

In subsection (5)—

omit paragraph (a),

in paragraph (b)—

for "that Act of 1986" substitute , and" the Insolvency Act 1986 "

for "that Order of 1989" substitute , and" the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 "

before the "and" at the end of paragraph (b) insert—ba"administrator" means a person appointed to manage the affairs, business and property of another person under Schedule B1 to that Act or to that Order;.
