Part 11: Policing etc

Section 39A of the Police Act 1996 (codes of practice for chief officers) is amended as follows.

For subsection (1) there is substituted—

In subsection (2), for "The Secretary of State may" there is substituted ." The College of Policing may, with the approval of the Secretary of State, "

For subsection (4) there is substituted—

In subsection (5), for "him" there is substituted ." the College of Policing "
