The New Towns Act 1981 is amended as follows.

After section 1 insert—

In section 77 (regulations and orders)—

in subsection (2), after "which" insert , and" , subject to subsection (2A), "
after subsection (2) insert—2AA statutory instrument containing regulations under section 1A(4) may not be made unless a draft of the instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
