Section 220: When a community order ceases to be in force

Part 9: Community sentences — CHAPTER 2: Community orders

A community order ceases to be in force—

at the end of the end date (see section 209), or
if later, when the offender has completed any unpaid work requirement imposed by the order.

But a community order ceases to be in force

when it is revoked , or
when it terminates under Part 3A of Schedule 10.

An unpaid work requirement is completed when the offender has worked under it for the number of hours specified in the order.
