Part 2: The Domestic Abuse Commissioner
The Secretary of State must appoint a person as the Domestic Abuse Commissioner (“the Commissioner”).
The Commissioner is to hold and vacate office in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Commissioner's appointment.
The Commissioner is not to be regarded as the servant or agent of the Crown or as enjoying any status, immunity or privilege of the Crown.
