Regulation 12: Waiver of eligibility limit in multi-party actions of significant wider public interest

Part 2: Civil legal aid for legal persons — CHAPTER 1: Financial eligibility limits and waivers

Where an application is made for legal representation in a multi-party action which the Director considers has a significant wider public interest, the Director may, if the Director considers it equitable to do so, do one or both of the following —

disapply the eligibility limits in regulation 11 in respect of those services in relation to specific issues within the multi-party action; and
waive all or part of any contributions payable under regulation 29.
