This Act may be cited as the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977.

The Housing Acts 1957 to 1975 and this Act may be cited together as the Housing Acts 1957 to 1977 and in relation to Scotland the Housing (Scotland) Acts 1966 to 1976 and this Act may be cited together as the Housing (Scotland) Acts 1966 to 1977.
21(3)
This Act shall come into force—
(a) in England and Wales, on 1st December 1977, and
(b) in Scotland, on 1st April 1978.

This Act does not extend to Northern Ireland.
