Regulation 25: Interest in land

Part 2: Civil legal aid for legal persons — CHAPTER 3: Calculation of disposable income and disposable capital

In calculating the sum referred to in regulation 20(a), the value of any interest in land must be taken to be the amount for which that interest could be sold after deducting, subject to paragraph (2), the amount of any debt secured by a mortgage or charge on the property.

The total amount to be deducted under this regulation on an assessment of the resources of the legal person may not exceed £100,000 in respect of all secured debts.
